Our approach for contracts must ensure the quality of work and customer satisfaction with the following criteria:
- Initial definition of the services and expected results of the contract (final results) with «Terms of References» redacted by the client or proposed by us
- Work executed on the basis of a lump sum calculated on an agreed number of days and some direct costs, like trip expenses; our main concern is the final result of the mission rather than the necessary means,
- We give the preference to a field-work and direct contact with the people and groups and we conclude the mission with a final report for the client.
Guirec has been involved in the development cooperation sector since the beginning of 2000 and has extensive experience in formulating, monitoring and evaluating programs with the Luxembourg Agency for Bilateral Cooperation. He has worked mainly in Latin America, Africa and the Balkans and is especially confortable in multicultural and multilingual contexts. He works in French, Spanish and English and has a good working knowledge of Portuguese.
Since 2010, he has also been very active in the local dynamics of transition (energy, recycling, mobility, participation and social inclusion) with the creation and development of two social enterprises in Arlon (southern Belgium): a bicycle workshop that aims to help cyclists repair and maintain their bike by promoting reuse and a citizen’s cooperative for energy production with several hundreds of members and an industrial wind turbine in activity.
Guirec has a strong technical and literary background and field experience of project with the application of specific development cooperation tools (including Results Based Management - RBM) that are fully applicable to social projects in the North but are often not well known. This experience has been enriched by the many contacts with organizations in various and often very rich cultural contexts - Latin America in particular - and his involvement in several social initiatives in the Walloon Region of Belgium.
